TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Tommy Ford as the Sheriff of Bay County.
Ford, 47, of Lynn Haven, has served in law enforcement for 22 years and currently serves as Chief Deputy at the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. Ford is appointed to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Frank McKeithen, for a term beginning August 1, 2016, and ending January 2, 2017
