The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a local man February 10, 2018, for multiple armed burglaries and associated crimes.

On February 1, 2018, the BCSO responded to a residential burglary on Howard Road in Panama City with numerous items stolen to include firearms. Later the same day, a credit card stolen during the burglary was used at a gas station in Callaway. Video was obtained by investigators, but the male suspect’s identity remained unknown.

On February 9, 2018, a hair salon on Tyndall Parkway was burglarized. About $700 dollars in hair products and cash were stolen. A video was obtained. In it investigators saw a maroon minivan on the backside of the business during the same time frame of the burglary. Later the same day, another residential burglary on Howard Road took place. Electronics, jewelry, and firearms were taken. Investigators canvassed the area and were able to place a maroon minivan in the area during the time frame of the burglary.

Further investigation revealed the minivan was registered to a Corey Gaddy, age 39, of 5921 Howard Road. Once a photo was obtained of Gaddy, investigators realized he was the same suspect in the video using a stolen credit card at the gas station in Callaway on February 1, 2018.

Contact was made with Corey Gaddy and he was interviewed. He stated he was responsible for the burglaries on Howard Road. Upon further investigation, the BCSO recovered nearly all of the stolen items, including all firearms.

Gaddy was arrested and charged with two counts of Armed Burglary, Burglary, four counts of Dealing in Stolen Property, two counts of False Verification of Ownership to a Pawn Broker, and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.
