Investigators from the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division arrested John Charles Agro, (DOB 10/11/1981) on multiple charges stemming from several thefts in the area.  During his crime spree, he stole a pressure washer out of a pick up truck at the paper mill, a weed-eater and a lawn mower from the back of a pick up truck at the Palo Alto Church and a kayak and paddle from a Southport residence that was leaning against the side of the house.

Following the theft of the weed eater in Southport, the owner remembered he had a man work on his yard not to long before the lawn equipment went missing.

Investigators tracked down John Charles Agro and discovered he also had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. All the items that were stolen were pawned at local pawn shops.  John Charles Agro was charged with the following:

Failure to Appear
Failure to Pay Fines X 2
Grand Theft X 2
Burglary X 2
Dealing in Stolen Property X 3
Fraud (False Ownership Info) X 2

A Little Crime Prevention Note:

Please store your valuables in the garage and close the door. That includes removing your fishing poles and ice chests from your boats. And the kids bicycles off the front lawn.
