The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a complaint of Identity Theft involving the loss of $19,000.00 through fraudulent transactions.
On November 11, 2015, a local man discovered someone had used his name to open several credit card accounts without his knowledge or permission, and then used the fraudulent accounts to conduct approximately $19,000.00 in transactions, most of which were conducted at businesses in Bay County.
The transactions were captured on security cameras. The suspect is a middle-aged, white male of medium height, medium build and a beard. He was wearing a long-sleeve, button-up, collared shirt, dark pants or jeans, sunglasses and a dark-colored watch on his right wrist. He is believed to be traveling in a black, four-door, newer model passenger car.
