The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the assistance of the public to identify a suspect that used a counterfeit ID to cash a counterfeit check at a local grocery store.
On Monday, June 20, 2016, the manager of a grocery store on Panama City Beach discovered that a customer had cashed a counterfeit check at the business and used a counterfeit driver license in order to facilitate the transaction. Further investigation revealed that the check was made payable to “Jamile D. Sanders”, was for $464.21, and written from the Wells Fargo Bank account of local restaurant.
The suspect is described as a thin, black or Hispanic female, in her late teens or early 20’s, medium height with a light complexion and medium-length black hair pulled into a ponytail.
