10 Pounds of Weed Destined For Delvin Payne

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division intercepted 10 pounds of marijuana in December of 2017 that was going to an address in Panama City.  An investigation revealed that package was intended for Devin S Payne.

Investigators developed probable cause and obtained a search warrant for Payne’s residence. On January 13th, 2018,  investigators served the search warrant.  During that search, they found approximately nine pounds of marijuana, two firearms,and approximately $3000.00 in cash.  Approximately one pound of the marijuana was found in a ground-level cabinet.  This cabinet was not locked and was easily accessible by a toddler living within the home. 

Arrested was Devin S Payne, age 32, of 1219 6th Street, Southport, on charges of Smuggling Marijuana into the State of Florida, Possession of Marijuana more than 20 grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Child Neglect.

Charges are pending on another occupant of the home.
